About the Role

Midway Staffing is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team immediately. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that production and operations run safely, efficiently, and at the highest level of quality. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely, complete, and cost-effective manner.

• Perform duties to maintain production machinery and facility equipment.

• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance; report findings to management.

• Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking systems accurately.

• Identify and recommend corrections for electrical issues, including drives and PLCs.

• Ensure machines meet productivity and quality standards after repairs or downtime.

• Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and repair supplies.

• Respond quickly to safety concerns or equipment issues that could endanger employees.

• Maintain building systems such as utilities, ventilation, plumbing, and overall appearance.

• Communicate effectively with group leaders and maintenance management.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred (not required).

• Certifications in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems are a plus.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Equivalent combinations of experience and training will be considered.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of gauges, tools, and instruments used in production and repair.

• Solid working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues.

• Experience with PLCs and drives preferred.

• Welding experience (MIG and/or arc) required.

• Forklift experience required (training provided).
