Job Description

Quality Assurance Technician

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch

  • Two paid 15-minute breaks

Overtime: Up to 10 hours per week
Interview Process: In-person
Work Environment: Cold environment — appropriate clothing required
PPE: Steel-toe footwear required


Equipment & Technical Requirements

  • Proficient in using an iPad, computer, and handheld scan guns

  • Basic Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows skills

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  • Basic arithmetic skills


Top 3 Must-Have Qualifications

  1. Previous Quality Assurance experience (required)

  2. Strong punctuality and reliability

  3. Flexibility to stay as needed based on production requirements (work until the job is completed)

Preferred: Experience in the food industry, but open to candidates with QA experience from other industries.


Experience

  • 3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience required


Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform multiple analyses on raw materials, in-warehouse products, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure compliance with Sysco and customer specifications.

  • Inspect proportionate samples of products, record findings, and communicate non-conformance issues to department managers.

  • Determine proper product disposition when non-conformance occurs.

  • Measure quantifiable product attributes (e.g., weight, temperature, tail length, tenderloin diameter).

  • Make subjective assessments regarding product appearance and quality.

  • Complete daily grading and inspection logs accurately.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by properly identifying, evaluating, and verifying product accuracy and quality before shipping.

  • Notify order selectors when product quality or accuracy is in question.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs

  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions
