Job Description
Quality Assurance Technician
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–8:00 PM

30-minute unpaid lunch
-
Two paid 15-minute breaks
Overtime: Up to 10 hours per week
Interview Process: In-person
Work Environment: Cold environment — appropriate clothing required
PPE: Steel-toe footwear required
Equipment & Technical Requirements

Proficient in using an iPad, computer, and handheld scan guns

Basic Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows skills

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Basic arithmetic skills

Previous Quality Assurance experience (required)

Strong punctuality and reliability

Flexibility to stay as needed based on production requirements (work until the job is completed)
Preferred: Experience in the food industry, but open to candidates with QA experience from other industries.
Experience

3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience required
Primary Responsibilities
-
Perform multiple analyses on raw materials, in-warehouse products, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure compliance with Sysco and customer specifications.
-
Inspect proportionate samples of products, record findings, and communicate non-conformance issues to department managers.
-
Determine proper product disposition when non-conformance occurs.
-
Measure quantifiable product attributes (e.g., weight, temperature, tail length, tenderloin diameter).
-
Make subjective assessments regarding product appearance and quality.
-
Complete daily grading and inspection logs accurately.
-
Ensure customer satisfaction by properly identifying, evaluating, and verifying product accuracy and quality before shipping.
-
Notify order selectors when product quality or accuracy is in question.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs

Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed

Ability to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions
