Midway Staffing is seeking a skilled Welder II with TIG welding experience to join our onsite manufacturing team. This role is Monday–Friday and offers competitive pay, with a 5% shift differential on 2nd shift.

Pay & Schedule

• 1st Shift: $25.00 – $32.00/hr

• 2nd Shift: $25.00 – $32.00/hr + 5% shift differential

• Onsite, Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up tools and equipment for welding jobs

• Arrange and weld parts according to specifications and production schedule

• Inspect quality and document results per quality control plans

• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area and equipment

• Read and interpret prints, welding symbols, and work orders

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in assigned workstations

• Perform other duties as requested by the Lead and assist in other work areas

• Work independently while upholding production efficiency and quality standards

• Support continuous improvement for safety, quality, and efficiency

• Cross-train in multiple workstations

Qualifications

• 1+ year in metal manufacturing preferred

• AWS certification (MIG/TIG) or ability to obtain

• Basic understanding of welding symbols, print tolerances, and measuring equipment

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong attention to detail, safety mindset, and ability to work independently

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and vibration

• Occasionally exposed to electrical shock and loud noise

• Regularly required to stand, use hands/fingers, handle materials, talk, and hear

• Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or lift up to 25 lbs

• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment
