1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
(Overtime as required)

Pay Rate

$21.65/hour

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Caster Machine Operator to join our Midway Staffing team in Batavia, IL. This role is responsible for operating casting and related equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring parts meet specifications. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, safety focused, and comfortable working with measuring tools, prints, and shop documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate casting machines and related equipment to produce quality parts.

• Use hand tools and simple machine tools to perform adjustments and routine tasks.

• Read and interpret prints, drawings, charts, graphs, and shop paperwork.

• Understand and follow quality specifications and production requirements.

• Perform measurements using scales, calipers, and other measuring tools.

• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Work as a team member to meet production goals and deadlines.

• Plan, prioritize, and manage tasks with attention to detail.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

• Ability to use hand tools and simple machine tools.

• Knowledge of measuring tools such as scales and calipers.

• Ability to read and understand prints, drawings, and quality specifications.

• Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, and measurement conversions.

• Computer literate.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.

• Self starter with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and work in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong team membership skills and safety awareness.

Important Notes

This position requires daily interaction with machinery, measuring tools, and quality documentation. Candidates must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and following detailed instructions.
